A Little About Us
Welcome to Sara Storch-Kay Dressage! If you’re dedicated to hard work and consistent training, you’ve found the perfect place. We prioritize rapid improvement through a return to fundamental principles, establishing a strong base before progressing through the levels. We’re committed to enhancing the confidence of both horse and rider, fostering an environment where both can thrive and perform optimally. Our approach is grounded in mastering the basics and avoiding shortcuts, ensuring our riders achieve balance and harmony with their horses before tackling more advanced challenges. We emphasize accuracy and proper form for both horse and rider at every training phase. To maintain our horses’ happiness and interest, we incorporate varied activities in their regimen, including outdoor hacks, cavaletti work, and other engaging exercises – all within a fun and enjoyable framework!

Our Team
Katja Waldron
Training Assistant
Katja Waldron is an accomplished dressage trainer with a wealth of experience and a strong competitive record. She has earned USDF silver and bronze medals and has a diverse background in training various breeds and young horses.
Katja’s journey began as a teenager when she trained in classical dressage at Christiane Noelting Dressage Center in Vacaville, CA. In her early twenties, she honed her skills by training and breaking young horses at Derby Farms under Pamela Pentz in Woodinville, WA. This is where she achieved her bronze and silver medals on Rodioso, a schoolmaster Oldenburg Stallion. Katja also had the opportunity to ride as a working student for six months during her study abroad in Berlin, Germany at Dressurstall Vetters Neubeeren.
While pursuing graduate studies in Pennsylvania, Katja continued to train horses of various breeds, including Friesians, PREs, and Trakehner/Arab crosses. Currently, she is dedicated to reaching her long-term goal of competing at the Grand Prix level and obtaining her gold medal.
Grace Hiramoto
Head Working Student
Coming from a non-riding family, Grace started taking lessons at 8 years old and was immediately hooked. Shortly after, Grace fell in love with the sport of Dressage and after finding her mare, Annie, earned her USDF Bronze medal in 2023. She also has a love for working with young horses. Grace raised a 2018 foal named Arthur, and started him under saddle herself. They look forward to a few schooling shows this year! In addition to the riding experience, Grace has groomed for recognized FEI trainers since 2021 and takes pride in caring for the amazing horses at SSK Dressage.
